I made this finger puppet with my daughter (5 years old) and one of her friends. They loved it and were running around the garden buzzing all afternoon.
This is a nice craft activity to use when talking about the subjects of saving the bees, and what an important role they play in pollination.
You can get your free bee finger puppet template below.
- Simply download and print off.
- Let them get busy colouring in the parts of the bumble bee, and then they can cut them out, (I had to help with cutting out the finger holes and around the antenna).
- And then just glue or tape the head to the front of the body, and the wings to the back of the body, and finished!
We recommend using 100gsm or thicker paper. If you don’t have that to hand you can fold a thin piece of normal paper a few times and stick it on the backside down the middle to give the puppet some extra stability.
We love to see your finished projects! Feel free to share them in a review below, or on Instagram or our Facebook page.
